Inaugural Event October 2016
High Desert Mural Festival's inaugural event will be held in Bend, Oregon during the 1st week of October 2016. This week long festival will feature artists from around the globe.
The public will be able to view the mural process and interact with the artists as they create large scale murals throughout Bend. High Desert Mural Festival, in collaboration with our local school district will have students directly participate in our event. Students will watch, interact, & collaborate with our invited artists. Selected student will help create murals with festival artists & some will paint their own mural during the week. Arts education will be at the heart of our festivals events.
A small format show starts our week, featuring new works on canvas by our invited artists, to be held during the first Friday of October in downtown Bend. The community is invited to join us in viewing these pieces of art, and to participate in a silent auction of these works benefiting our participating artists and the High Desert Mural Festival.
